Donald Ennis is a native North Carolinian and the Managing Partner of Ennis, Baynard, Morton, Medlin & Brown. A graduate of North Carolina State University and Campbell University School of Law, Mr. Ennis has dedicated nearly four decades to the practice of civil litigation in southeastern North Carolina.
Since his admission to the North Carolina Bar in 1986, Mr. Ennis has built a distinguished career representing businesses, insurers, and individuals in complex civil disputes. His primary areas of focus include civil litigation, insurance defense, construction law, and products liability — areas where his trial experience and strategic judgment have consistently delivered results for clients.
As Managing Partner, Mr. Ennis leads the firm's commitment to aggressive, well-prepared advocacy. He has successfully litigated matters at every level of the North Carolina court system, earning the respect of both peers and opposing counsel for his thorough preparation and courtroom skill.
Mr. Ennis is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, reflecting his dedication to the continued development of defense litigation practice.
